EDITORIAL

The AICESIS website has been completely transformed in order to make it more complete, modern and easily accessible and consultable for both its members and external visitors. Thus, this tool offers each member already registered within the AICESIS Secretariat the opportunity to increase their visibility and upload information concerning their institution. The new website will also intensify the exchange of information, projects, experience and good practices between AICESIS Members. Furthermore, more working languages and sections are available with more information: "Experiences", “Multimedia", "Analysis and Interviews", "Working groups" etc.

REMINDER! AICESIS, the ILO and the Korean ESDC organize an international conference on "The role of the ESCs- SIs in the promotion of a social protection floor for all" to be held in Seoul (Korea), on 20th and 21st November 2014. A questionnaire on this theme was drafted and sent to each member to prepare a background paper to the conference. Each institution has been requested to send us their answers as soon as possible.

AICESIS work in progress

On the occasion of the AICESIS GA, a working paper ("Blue Book"), prepared by AICESIS and the ILO, and listing more than one hundred ESCs, similar institutions or other tripartite social dialogue institutions in the world, was released. This database will soon be available online.

The General Assembly of Algiers (11-12 September 2013) approved the launch of the third edition of the AICESIS International Summer School for young people.
The Civic Chamber of Russia volunteered  to host the event from 15th  to 21st  September 2014 in Kabardino-Balkarie (Russia).

At the 86th Plenary Session of the Economic and Social Development Commission (ESDC) of Korea on 19 August, the tripartite leaders agreed to establish the Committee on Industrial Safety Innovation and the Committee on Development of Public Sectors and the Special Committee on Improvement of Labor Market Structure as well.

On 20th August, the CDES organized in Brasilia a seminar on «The post-2015 Development Agenda and the goals of sustainable development» in order to inform on sustainable development and resume discussions carried out by the CDES on the building process for the sustainable development goals which will replace the UN MDGs.
