Meeting on the Main working topic for 2011-2013 : “Youth employment”

Following the decision taken by the AICESIS Board members, met in Seoul (South Korea) on November 22 and 23, 2012, a meeting of the working group will be hosted by the Algerian CNES on January 29 and 30 2013 in Algiers and will be opened to all AICESIS members.

Please find enclosed the draft program, the registration form and the hotels rates.

The working languages are Arabic, English and French.

The meeting place will be the Sheraton Hotel. Thus for practical reasons, it is strongly recommended to book your rooms at the Sheraton Hotel. Please for the booking tell that you are coming to attend a meeting with the Algerian CNES.

AICESIS Report / “Impacts of the global crisis: a vision of civil society”

Please find enclosed the AICESIS report on “Impacts of the global crisis: a vision of civil society” as finalized in the light of the adjustments made by the Board in Seoul (22-23 November).

As decided by the Board, a wide diffusion of this report will be ensured by AICESIS members to their respective Ministers of Labor and by the General Secretariat.

In parallel, as decided in Seoul, the Civic Chamber of Russia is taking appropriate contacts with the future Russian Presidency of the G20 in order to promote this report, especially with the Labor Ministers of the G20.

AICESIS / ESC of CONGO / FAO INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM

The ESC of Congo, together with the AICESIS and the FAO, jointly organize in Brazzaville (Congo) on 2 and 3 May 2013 an international symposium on “Food security: Assessment of international policies to achieve the MDGs in the world”.

All AICESIS members are invited to attend this meeting aiming at promoting exchanges of experiences and good practices on a very important topic.

Please find attached the official invitation letter, the draft program, the registration form and the terms of participation.

NB: in order to facilitate the organization, please send your registration before March 31 2013.

Each Council wishing to make a contribution is requested to inform us soon about the speech topic and to prepare a concrete presentation on their effective practices (5 minutes) and with one or two concrete proposals.

The Secretariat-General of AICESIS (aicesis@aicesis.org) remains at your disposal should you need further information.

The AICESIS Board held in Seoul (South Korea) on 22 and 23 November 2012 proved to be a real and particularly constructive success, thanks to the involvement of all and the kind hospitality and perfect organization of the Korean ESDC. Once again, many thanks to our Korean friends.

AICESIS / ECOSOC Working group "Decent work to eradicate poverty"

Please find attached the final version of the AICESIS report and the speech – which was given at the UN ECOSOC high-level segment on July 6, 2012 in New York (USA) - by Mr. KAMANO, President of the Guinean ESC and Rapporteur of the working group, mandated by President BABES on behalf of AICESIS.
