Board
The International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (AICESIS) is run by a Board.
The Board is composed by active members, designated by the General Assembly for a renewable two years period. The Assembly takes care of a balanced composition of the Board, taking into account the geographical representations. The Board has presently 18 members, representing four continents (Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe). The Board is chaired by the AICESIS President, who is as well designated for a two year period. The Board usually meets twice a year. Its operating principle is collegial responsibility.
